Alfred for iPad

In these tough economic times, many of us don’t get to eat out as often as we used to. If you plan to eat out, you may as well try places that have foods worth trying. Trying the same food place over and over again could get boring. Afred for iPad is a cool little app that learns from your habits to show you new places you may want to check out in your local area.

Alfred can act as your personal robot. It learns from your favorite places to recommend businesses you may enjoy. The more information you provide the application, the better the recommendations you get will be. Alfred goes through reviews available to give you more information about each business. It covers photos and menus for food businesses you may want to try.

I like the fact that Alfred shows personal recommendations on a map. We tested the iPhone version a while ago. The app seems to have gotten much better in its latest version. Alfred requires user interaction to improve its suggestions. It does have an elegant interface and is free at this point. Its suggestions won’t be perfect. That being said, Alfred is still worth checking out for those of you looking to bring some variety to your food life.
