Use the passcode feature to protect your notes. Full-screen editing is offered as well, which is pretty nice. The user-interface is decent looking but does not take a long time to master.

Notably for iPad is not perfect. The Dropbox sync feature could be a bit more reliable. The app is available for $5 at this point.
