Spacecraft 3D for iPad

In a perfect world, our technology would be advanced enough to allow our astronauts to visit intriguing objects in our solar system and other systems easily. Unfortunately, we are not there yet. That’s where robots come in. They let us study the universe without worrying about the limitations of our biology. Spacecraft 3D is another decent application by JPL that teaches users a thing or two about the spacecraft and robotic explorers we use to explore the universe.

Spacecraft 3D has decent graphics and lets you learn about and interact with a variety of spacecraft we use to explore our universe. You can see how these move and the engineering process that goes into making them. Not all explorers are included in the app though. Users don’t necessarily have be amateur astronomers to appreciate these explorers.

Spacecraft 3D is not perfect but off to a good start. It works on your iPhone too. Not everyone is going to like the augmented reality feature. But the app does have some potential.
