WolframAlpha does not need any introduction. The app generated a lot of buzz when it was launched for iPhone a while ago. Of course, the price was a bit too much during the launch. It has now gotten an upgrade for iPad and is heavily discounted too. It’s essentially a reference application that can help you get answers to your questions fast.

Unlike Google and other search engines, this app will provide you with the answers that you are looking for. So there is no need for you to go through a thousand pages of nonsense to figure something out. This app will get the job done quickly. The results you receive in this app are cached, so you can access them offline. The app even calculates arithmetic equations in a flash.

Please note that this app won’t replace Maple or Matlab. It’s a reference app that provides you with a comprehensive database of answers. But there are other alternatives for very technical topics. The app was probably not worth it at $50 but it’s quite a steal at its current price. Yet another must have app for every iPad owner.
