So you want to plan a special event for certain someone but don’t want to go through a whole lot of hassles to make your restaurant reservation? OpenTable for iPad has you covered. OpenTable allows users to reserve a place in 15k+ OpenTable-enabled restaurants. It covers the U.S, Canada, and United Kingdom locations.

OpenTable is quite user friendly. Just determine your dining date, your group’s size, and your desired time. The app will provide you with a list of tables available in your area. The locations are displayed based on proximity to help you find a place near you. They are also plotted on a map to give you a better sense on where each business is located.

Users have the option to refine their search by price, food type, and the number of points they can earn (OpenTable members can earn rewards for their business). OpenTable does allow its users to find out more about each restaurant by going through its menu and ratings.

OpenTable is the perfect tool if you plan to throw a quick party. It lets you reserve your table and notify your group via e-mail. It keeps track of your past reservations, which is nice. This is a free application. What’s not to like?
