Shopping for groceries can be time consuming but we all have to do it every week or so (if not more often). The good news is there are companies that provide delivery for your groceries. Instacart for iPad is one of many apps you can use for this. The app lets you order what you need, whether it’s early in the morning or late in the afternoon, and get what you need delivered to your home.

Instacart turns your iPad into a grocery store. You can shop from Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and Safeway and have your groceries delivered for as little as $4. The service is not available everywhere but you can take advantage of it in San Francisco, Palo Alto, and Mountain View. These guys deliver from 10:00am to 9:00pm every day.

Instacart has amazing potential. We would love for the app to be offered in other cities. But the idea is quite solid. If you hate spending more time than you have to on shopping, picking up one of the above apps is a good idea.
