Those of you who are lucky to have young kids around know too well about the importance of engaging them with fun learning activities. Teaching them some geography, especially that of the U.S., is never a bad idea. State Plate is an engaging iPad application that encourages your kids to track the license plates they see during your trips. It then teaches them about the states, U.S. geography, and a whole lot more.

State Plate keeps track of the license plates found by users. It also provides them with information on states (such as their flag, population, and capital). State Plate is not something your kid can play when you are at home. It is designed for those who love to get out and explore (which makes this very good to use for parents who love to travel).

State Plate is pretty fun and has a lot of potential. We would love to have an easier way to enter license information. More interactive features would be nice for kids. This app could use more social features.
