Super MineSweeper HD

Remember the good old minesweeper game that started showing up in Microsoft Windows. The game is simple, but it is still one of the most popular games around. At the very least, it can kill your time like no other game. Super MineSweeper HD is a free iPad application that lets you play this game on your iPad (with a much better resolution).

Unlike those old minesweepers, you actually have some options when it comes to choosing your play board. This app supports hexagon and square grids. You also get two board sizes just in case you find the bigger board too hard. I love the fact that it works in both landscape and portrait modes (every app should really).

The free version, which we used for our test, is ad supported. But look at the bright side: you still get to play the game for free. If you happen to be looking for even more of a challenge, you can always go with the paid version. Super MineSweeper HD is a pretty challenging and addictive app regardless.
