Sylfeed for iPad: RSS Feed Reader

Google Reader did die a sad death this year. But RSS technology is still going. In fact, many folks are using desktop and mobile applications to continue keeping up with their favorite blogs. Sylfeed for iPad happens to be a clean RSS reader with support for Feedly cloud. You can also use it as a stand alone reader and sync with iCloud.

Sylfeed is optimized for iOS 7. It has gesture-based controls. That means you can read articles, track unread ones, and share your favorite ones with the world fast. Users have the option to keep up with multiple accounts. The app lets you keep track of unread and starred content easily. Plenty of sharing options are available, including Twitter, Facebook, Buffer, Evernote, and Pocket.

Should you get Sylfeed? I am not sure. Reeder 2 and Mr. Reader are both my favorites. It is going to take something special for me to switch. Sylfeed does have potential but I wouldn’t spend money on it unless more services are supported.
